Actually i am a staff member at pattison's North and i love working there. Shaun and his wife are really great. and i think shaun is the reason pattisons north is still there. He's not rude, he is generous to everybody. And he know's how to run his business. I wouldn't want to work for anybody else.

I grew up skating at Pattisons and it would be sad for as hard as Ben worked to make it a successful business that Sean is running it to the ground with his rudeness to patrons. Telling kids they cannot come to family nite without a family, they cant come to skate nite for their siblings school etc..He plays favoritisim towards some kids and treats others like garbage according to their clothes, hair style etc. A historical land mark will soon be gone and thats very sad.

Good place to skate by Jeffrey B. at InsiderPages
This is a good place to go and have some family fun. I broke my arm here as a 3rd grader, but still love to skate here. You can't beat spinning around the rink for good old fashioned fun. The staff seemed friendly enough when I was there. The rink could use some updating, but it is a lot like most skating rinks. Be ready for lots of kids. This is a relatively modest priced family event.

Pattisons Skating Rink
The rink is awesome and I have been skating for years. But as for the owner treating patrons badly, it isn't just the children he is rude to. I bring my child to skate there every once in a while and he has treated me like I was some punk kid. He was rude and disrespectful and I will always use the rink in Spokane Valley now!

Interesting
My family has been skating at Pattison's since I was 10. Shawn and his staff have always been plesant and helpful. We enjoy skating school skate night and all the open sessions, especially family night. Pattisons has been a landmark for decades and has many more to come...obviously people are jealous.
